There has been a question on what is WordPress but the truth is that lot of people have been using WordPress for a long time but they don’t know the meaning of WordPress.

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) which was developed with PHP combined with MySQL or MariaDB database and its features include a WordPress plugin and a template system known as WordPress Theme.

Since we have explained “What is WordPress” let’s go further to learn more about WordPress.

Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little founded WordPress in the year 2003, their aim was to develop a fork b2 but Matt Mullenweg’s friend Christine Selleck Tremoulet suggested the name WordPress.
